Jemima Lormeus, BA
Greetings ! My name is Jemima Lormeus and I am a first-generation Haitian American graduate student. I began my studies at Florida Atlantic University and graduated in 2019 with a bachelor's in psychology with a minor in criminal justice. I am currently a graduate student in Mental Health Counseling at Lynn University. My passion for counseling started in my undergraduate studies. Realizing the need for mental health counselors in my community raised my awareness and increased my passion to further my education. My long-term goals are to gain my licensure and to be able to provide services to the Haitian community and educate them on the mental health field. Being in the Advocacy Committee for the International Association for Resilience and Trauma Counseling allows me to learn about the many cultures we may face and proceed to advocate, emphasize, and understand. Aside from my career, as a hobby I love to watch rap battles, food blog, and travel! I look forward to serving and working this year!
